Welcome!
It was love at first sight, when we visited Nystrup Camping Klitmøller in the summer of 2020.
We have travelled a great deal with motorhomes around the world and have experienced firsthand how different campgrounds can be – from the way you are greeted to the facilities and location – and Nystrup Camping Klitmøller was simply everything we were looking for in an ideal campground.
For us, the three main things we look for in a campground, is a place where:
- Families with children, seniors, surfers and hikers alike can feel at home and connect with people they wouldn’t otherwise have met on their way.
- Nature is an integrated part of the campground. For us camping is all about nature – living in it, eating in it and exploring it.
- There is a (historical) town nearby with interesting stores to browse and restaurants with exiting local produce. In addition, meeting the locals is a big part of travelling for us too.
With that said, the decision to take over Nystrup Camping Klitmøller and pursue our dream of becoming owners of our very own campground was an easy one to make.
The handy man & The reception keeper
We took over the campground January 1st 2021, and look forward to many years with happy guests as well as new projects and development of the campground.
With 15 years of experience from the travel industry Maj is in charge of bookings and administration. Maj can also be found in the reception, greeting our guests and answering all of their questions.
Torben however is a man who knows how to use his hands, and being a former operations manager, foreman as well as a certified mechanic specializing in agricultural machines, he is the campground’s handyman.
A place for quality time for all ages and nationalities
Our ambition with Nystrup Camping Klitmøller is simply to create the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable holiday by the North Sea. To offer our guests a place to call home after a long day at the ocean, in the dunes, the national park or on the golf course.
A campground made for quality time with your family and travel companions and a place where people of all ages, nationalities and personal interests can met and talk around the campfire for dinner or a cold beer or a cup of hot morning coffee in the shared kitchen.
A part of the local community
Besides making sure that our guests are well taken care of and are enjoying their stay, our sincere wish is also to contribute and be an active part of the local community here in Klitmøller.
When we first moved to Nystrup Camping Klitmøller, the people we met here would often say: ”Everyone helps each other out in Klitmøller” and that is a statement we would like to support 110%.
Among many things, we would like to continue and strengthen our collaboration with local suppliers and shop owners as well as help promote the amazing local produce and artwork unique to the Klitmøller area.
We have travelled around the world several times – now it’s the worlds turn to come to us.
